Founded in 1989, the non-profit Tijuana Economic Development Corporation (DEITAC in Spanish) has been dedicated to help companies of all types to take advantage of the benefits found in the Tijuana-San Diego Mega Region. With over 130 private-sector members from both sides of the border who are experts in areas like industrial development, construction, law, accounting, custom brokerage and logistics, maquiladora/shelter services and more, the Tijuana EDC can help your company map out a new path to profits and competitiveness.
The Tijuana EDC provides a variety of services free of charge to help companies make the Tijuana San Diego Mega Region their home. Below are a few ways we can help:
Professional Consulting Services: A member of the EDC staff will organize a professional service business agenda, during which you will receive pertinent information as well as expert advice in order to help guide you through the start up process. (Legal, taxing, customs, etc.) if you are not interested in setting up on your own.
Shelter Operation or Contract Manufacturing: We will provide you with information about alternative business models if you are not interested in setting up your own.
Site Selections: We can help you find the best location for your company based on your needs.
Business Retention and Expansion: Continued assistance to help your company be successful.
Workforce Development: We can help find and train any employee that you may need, through our Industry Education and Linkage Committee.
Company Directories: We can provide you with directories of industries, importers, exporters, contract manufacturers, and others.
